There are quite a few delivery businesses in the UK but if you happen to order something online it is unlikely that you will be given a choice as to which firm to have deliver your parcel. A lot of retailers who sell their products on the Internet or over the phone tend to just use one courier company.

Despite the above, we think that you would find it of interest to know which are considered to be some of the best delivery businesses in the UK. Well, many of you will have heard of Which? and they carried out a survey some months ago into the top delivery companies here in the UK.

In 2023, in number 1 place for the overall percentage of satisfied customers was Amazon with 93%. In 2nd place was Royal Mail with 92%, in 3rd spot was DPD with 88%, in 4th place was DHL with 85% and in 5th place was Evri with 76%. As you can see, there was quite a difference in percentage terms between Amazon and Evri.

For delivery on time/as expected which is important to consumers ordering online or over the phone Amazon came out on tops with a 5 star rating. Amazon also came out well with a 5 star rating for the condition of the parcel when it arrived as did Royal mail and DPD that also attracted 5 star ratings.

Satisfaction with delivery also saw Amazon receive a 5 star rating with Royal Mail and DHL receiving 4 star ratings.

The survey was undertaken in September 2023 with 1,313 Great Britain adults taking part.

The commonest problem was due to couriers leaving parcels outside. It was interesting that 9% of those taking part in the survey commented that parcels were left on view quite clearly outside. 8% of parcels were delivered late.

We trust that you found the above information of interest.
